Get ready for $8. a gallon gasoline!

We are in Ancona, Italy, where gas is over $8. a gallon. Everything is so expensive, luckily we have picnic food to survive the day!!
Our last day in Romania was great. The sun did come out while we visited the ASTRA museum. It was out in the countryside, not very far from the city of Sibiu. We took the right bus straight there. The museum was quite impressive. Over 1,000 buildings were moved piece by piece from all over Romania. The homes, barns, mills, ect. were filled with the furniture, dishes, farm implements, everything they had back in their respective villages. It was like walking thru the Jordan Parkway, except more beautifully wooded, with antique little buildings, churches, mills at every turn. We were unable to see it all and we spent over 3 hours there! There were lakes and a cafe! It was a special place!
We loved the guest house that we stayed in in Sibui, we were their only guests and we were treated very well. They even got up with us to prepare breakfast this morning at 5 am!!
The airline food on both flights here was so mucn nicer than we are used to on American Airlines. Red wine for breakfast was a bit much, but no complaining here!
We have had to spend several hours waiting for the ferry to leave, but Ancona is a typically beautiful Italian city with super views of the sea.
We have tickets for a little 2 bed cabin for the night. It will be closet-sized, but we are going to pretend we're on a honeymoon cruise!
We'll be in Split, Croatia by 7 am, you will all just be getting to bed!
Sorry, still no new pictures, next time!
