On to Hvar Island & now Korcula

Saturday, March 29
We have lost track of days! That is when you know you're are really on vacation!
We took a ferry to Hvar this morning, two hours spent talking with two young Canadians who have been traveling for 3 months, with one more to go! They purchased a round-the-world pass, started in Australia, then New Zealand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Turkey... WOW. Met another young woman in Hvar, again 4 months traveling ALONE! Kids these days!
Hvar Island was very cool, old stone buildings, a fortress on top, beautiful boats... We watched at least 100 little sailboats at sea and when they came in we found they were little boys, boy scouts? Lucky!!
The sea is so incredibly blue and clear, simply breathtaking!!
At the end of our day while waiting for the hydrofoil catamaran we watched 5 little boys fishing on the pier with bread and a simple hook on fishing string. They pulled out little fish, one after another. Keith fished out a soccer ball with his umbrella, ingenious!
The trip to this Island of Korcula was super fast and quite easy, especially given the rough water! We might not have long here because we fear the only way on to Dubrovnik is a bus at 6:45 am! We will post pictures from there!
We would love some comments!! And are looking for a ride home a week from tomorrow, Sunday, April 6th in the late evening. Any heroes out there?! (Thomas? Victor?)
